There are about 6000 children in care, most of them in foster families. Мany foster families are older and there is a need for young families to be willing to become foster families. Also, the majority of children in care are Roma children, even though the Roma communities make about 2% of the whole population of Serbia.

Total children under the age of 18: 1.5 million

Country Situation:

Towards Serbia Without Orphans:
In 2023 there was a first meeting with about 20 participants joining together in Belgrade to hear about the vision of a country without orphans and talk about steps towards it. We continue to pray for a national movement in Serbia.
