A small discipleship group of Ukrainian ladies and their sons experienced a profound journey, entirely supported by the prayers and donations of a dedicated community.

Overcoming Roadblocks and Steps of Faith

The journey began with the challenge of walking alongside the families through initial doubts. Many expressed concerns like, “We want to go, but we don’t have the resources," and "We don't have anyone to leave the kids with, so it’s not God’s will for us to be at the conference."

Through numerous one-on-one conversations, the ladies were encouraged to believe in God's care and provision for this extra trip. Everyone was filled with excitement, especially the boys, as it was their very first time seeing Warsaw.

Interactive Discoveries and Spiritual Renewal

Upon arriving in Warsaw, the three boys enjoyed a fully planned day. They visited a science museum packed with interactive exhibits enabling them to carry out live experiments, enjoyed a stop at McDonald's, and spent time walking around the historic Old Town of Warsaw.

In the meantime, the women attended a conference that gathered refugee ladies from several countries across Europe. The main message focused on the biblical story of Hagar, who was cast out into the desert with the responsibility of a son and absolutely no means to care for them both. In her deep desperation, God was right there. He saw and heard her every step of the way, opening her eyes to a well of water right next to her that she was previously unable to see in her distress, revealing the blessings He had in store for both her and her son.

God is the One Who Sees. He wants you to be a flourishing garden, not a barren dry land. He is the Spring that fills you with Water.

The message went straight into their hearts. Moments of pure clarity appeared on their faces, in their eyes, alongside visible smiles of relief. 

Real Impact in Their Own Words

• From a Mother: "I understood I do not need to be afraid about the future of my sons. I can entrust them to God. I loved each moment of the conference - the messages, the testimonies, the coffee breaks, meeting new people. I am so glad I decided to go!"

• From a Participant: "My highlight is meeting a woman who also lost her husband, and hearing her story of being in the desert of loss, drought, people not knowing how to handle me now, feeling empty, ashamed. And how she went through it, and regained her strength. It was encouraging for me."
• From the Boys: "I am so excited, I have not been in Warsaw yet," "I'm looking forward to exploring the city! Thank you so much for bringing us here!" and "The science center was cool. So much interesting stuff!"

A Lasting Legacy

This was far from an ordinary, routine trip for these families. This was a defining season of raising them up, a time of validated feelings, and the beginning of profound healing processes. The impact of these days will undoubtedly echo in the lives of these sons and into the following generations.
