Healing broken hearts

“He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” (Isaiah 61:1)

As we train churches, parents, practitioners, and other community members about understanding and supporting children who have experienced trauma, we sometimes encounter people carrying their own stories of pain. After one such training, a woman from a challenging background approached us. She had faced the heartbreaking experience of having her own child removed from her care due to an inability to provide a safe and stable environment.

She shared this feedback:

“The training day gave me a deeper understanding of both my own trauma and my child's experiences. I was inspired by what I heard and learned at the trauma training and have already signed up for another course so I can continue to learn more about the effects of trauma.”

At WWO Europe, we dream of a future where families like hers find hope and restoration. We envision Christians better equipped to understand trauma, offering not only knowledge but also compassion. Through this, we believe cycles of pain can be broken, children can thrive, and families can be strengthened to build a legacy of love and healing for generations to come.
